Take A scenic flight to Lake Manyara Airstrip

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a Shrike representative and drive into the Ngorongoro Highlands, where the air cools, the soil becomes fertile and the scenery lush.

Your safari, your rule... Unmatched for its natural variety, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area.
Magnificent! The Ngorongoro Crater has an other-worldly beauty that will leave you breathless. A shimmering rainforest cascades down to the swaying grasses and pastel plains of the crater.

A visit to the renowned Olduvai Gorge

In 1969, Dr. Mary Leakey uncovered the first-ever intact skull of Homo habilis [the handyman], dating from 1.75 million years ago. And we will stand on the very ground where these early humans walked and lived!

The remains of prehistoric elephants, giant—horned sheep, and enormous ostriches have also been found in this Stone Age site.

Full—Day Hike at Empakai Crater

Enjoy a morning walk near Empakai Crater—an impressive caldera lying at the northern end of the crater highlands. An armed ranger will escort you into the area.

Empakai is beautiful, with islands of forest and a waterfall at the source of the Munge River. Monkeys and buffalo are frequently seen in the area.
